For all of you waiting on rabbit news, all is well.

They are all gaining weight nicely. They have all opened their eyes and are now climbing in and out of the nesting box. They are so cute.

There are still nine. Mom looks tired but is doing well I think. She breathes heavy at times and eats a lot. Just this morning I went down to view the cute little family. The nine babies were all out of the nesting box but still all cuddled together in a bunny pile next to the nesting box. This afternoon one of the three gray ones was sitting inside Mom's food dish. When I walked up to the cage Mom got up from a laying position and tipped over the food dish on top of the baby. The food dish moved across the cage for a few seconds and then junior was out and back to his/her siblings. Today is the first day some of them have tried some dry food. They have also started to eat the hay. Something that Mom might not be to syked about is that they can also come to her for food. Shah Rukh Khan one of the brown ones was attached to her for a while. She didn't even seem to notice he/she was there.

Someone from the Grafton County extension office called yesterday with news of a Rabbbit clinic. I will have to get that group going. It is April 9th. The kids will get to talk about the rabbits and about the Angora breed especially. I think it will be fun.

Yesterday, with the help of Allegra Harvard, we named all the bunnies. Some may have to change do to what sex they are, but here is what they are right now:

1. Solid Chocolate (brown) 7.9 oz - Bear
2. Darkest Grey 7.8 oz -Ashes
3. Medium Grey 7.7 oz -Soot
4. Lightest Grey 7.2 oz. - Dusty
5. Brown Otter (brown on the backside and sort of ivory on belly) 7 oz. - Echo
6. Black Otter 6.5 oz -Michael Jackson
7. Chocolate (brown) 6.4 -Shah Rukh Khan (Famous Ballywood Movie actor, another favorite of my daughter Haley)
8. White with gray tail and ears and a little gray on her behind 6.3 oz - Dirty Diana (a Michael Jackson song, daughter Haley is his biggest fan)
9. Chocolate (with a little white spot in the middle of forehead) 5.5 oz -Lucky
